Don’t know. My websites stopped allowing new free users decades ago. My main one is ancestry.com.

If you just want a simple static website, my favourite option is putting it on Amazon S3. You only pay for storage and transfer, and they’ll basically be nothing.

If you want a whole virtual server, I like Linode – that’s where this site is hosted. You have to do all your own sysadmin.

If you want something in between, with the option of having a dynamic website and all the sysadmin taken care of, NearlyFreeSpeech.NET is very good. They’ll sell you a domain too.
