No.
And Good morning all.
from looking at examples on the web, the answer is both yes and no.
Yeah, but…is the Interwebs necessarily right?
;)
I do because they are part of that text. Never been marked down for it

I don’t think it really matters

Personally, I don’t like italicised parentheses, but if you place italicised text inside non-italicised parentheses, you run the risk of the text crashing into the closing parenthesis.
(try a bit of both)

Seems we do see eye to eye
more, the parentheses should be the same style as the text surrounding the block they delineate, as it makes sense to consider the parentheses control characters within the surrounding text, and not part of the delineated text
similarly we may consider a word to include none of the spaces surrounding that word, as in “word” not “ word “
Logical analysis does not always account for punctuation rules, though.
e.g. If they put me in charge we’d write:
“That’s it.” she said.
The pair of quotation marks clearly delineate the quoted text, so normal punctuation rules could safely be applied within.
River red gum,(that isn’t red river gum because there isn’t a “red river” in Australia).

The formal names of plants and animals are always in italics (or underlined to indicate that they should be). So in that instance it does matter.

Well that will certainly save on burial costs.
…and should be a part of our 202020 vision.
