jerry’s advice about too much nitrogen on corn has to be tempered by saying most corn don’t get enough nitrogen. his soil was well prepared in the first instance before he planted anything – so adding heaps of nitrogen on top of 2 green manure crops is overdoing it a tad.

stephen’s pond looked good – altho’ how do you get a pond at the top of your property? i think he’s mad crowbarring out his soil to replace it – just pile fertiliser and mulch on top – let the worms do the rest.

mind you – both those guys know twice as much as i do.

Cheers Muschee (from Jan chat) :) Did anyone else notice, this week and next week, Josh’s segments on GA look like they’ve come straight from Vasili’s Garden?? :D Waiting for the cigarette butt and aspirin remedies now.. :D

i noticed the broad italian mumma accent – it’s good – the show is a little too british at times.
the jokes about the clothesline being the only place left were vasiliesque.
