and as a Cat 1 TC, Ellie should bring more rain to the region… Considering the water is only 6 metres under the Bridge at Sellheim, it may pay to take a drive out there shortly to see the Burdekin rise above :)

good to hear that you have survived – sorry about the chooks.
may the thunderstorms fall directly on your place – in a mild sort of way.
my little kale (only 60mm high) are also surviving.

Oh yes I’m a survivor :) tho as I get older (thankfully) I like heat less. Not that many years ago I would be out working in it but now sit and enjoy the AC

I think our Wet has arrived…thanks Ellie…

good thing I was at home for lunch when it all began so I was able to go up and clean the gutters…rainwater tank full anyway (totally chill factor, that) and the dam water tank should fill as I have removed all the debris causing the water to splash off the screen with no input to the tank…

I have got a WWers casserole cooking in a two-person slow cooker…at the office here with me as we haven’t used that cooker for about 15 years…if there’s a fault, I want to be on it…

checked all the gutters for debris and those leucaenas are dead, very dead…or they will be in two week’s time…they do make good tomato stakes, tho…
