Yes. That’s the problem. Redox systems have marvellous recharging capabilities, all other batteries can only be recharged a small number of times but redox systems can be discharged and recharged a very large number of times.

But they’re not small.

King Island used to and probably still has a redox battery attached to its wind farm.

I don’t see such a system requiring a fridge sized box as being a major problem.

Most people own a fridge, even though it comes in a fridge sized box.
