I find these visualisations quite impressive. They show rate of change in a new way.

GIF2 – Global-mean CO2 concentrations since 1850. This spiral has been made possible thanks to our recent community effort to pull together new long-term timeseries of GHG concentrations, see submitted paper and data here: climatecollege.unimelb.edu.au/cmip6

Or, better, one for ozone hole?
One for acid rain?
One for atmospheric soot/smoke?

I heard something on the news last night about results from ice core analysis for the last 2000 years. I might chase that stuff up at some stage, it should be interesting.
