Lunch went swimmingly, everyone loved the crêpes and the mixed vegetables in blue cheese sauce.
One sister brought a bountiful selection of chocolates, nougat etc arranged on a tray (I took a snap and will upload it later) and the other a very fine chocolate cake. Still loads of all that left over.
I scored seven bottles of fine wine, a bottle of Metaxa, various books and a Sherlock Holmes coffee mug.

Enjoying a glass of Metaxa* with some strong blue cheese and fruity Greek olives that nicely complement it.
*a Greek brandy blended with muscat wine, herbs and rose petals amongst various secret ingredients. It’s rather eccentric compared with fine brandy, but has a charm of its own and goes very well with strong-tasting nibbles.
