I wonder if anyone can help – I am getting the
for sale page coming up with all the information except any of the
ads. It has been like this for about a week. I have tried accepting
cookies from the website but it doesn’t help.

Big Bessie,Call it up again in your browser, then right click your mouse and
select refresh to see if it will come up.Failing that, you may have to clear your cache, are you using
Windows Internet Explorer (V7)?If so, go to tools then Internet Options. There will be a selection for
clear Temporary files, cookies etc and also there will be Settings.
Click on settings, you will get another popup “Temporary Internet
files and history settings”, then select view files. Have a look through
your list of cookies for anything that refers to “farmstock” and
delete them. Then go back to farmstock, it should show up ok.

cackles said:Are you having a similar trouble with any other
sites, Bessie? Can you tell us please, what browser you have installed and what
level your Privacy and Security are set to (Control Panel/Internet
options). The other thing to try that sometimes works is to delete the
site from your Bookmarks/favorites then find it again by Search (eg
Yahoo, Google etc) and reset…Do you know how to get and post a screenshot of the page showing
exactly what you see when you try to view the ads?

I tried deleting the page from favs, it didn’t helpprivacy is set to medium high, I use microsoft browser and I tried it
using MozillaNot sure how to get a screen shot
I have cut and pasted here what I get:
HomeAlpacas
Cattle Goats Pigs Poultry SheepHome > Classifieds > Poultry >
Register Related Classifieds: • Poultry Wanted
Poultry for Sale
Post an AdThis Week’s Advertisements:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: How to Buy and Sell Safely Online -

My screen shot here – This is what I see. And shows the Addy I have in
my Bookmarks – is the web address you are using exactly the same?

zilly said:perhaps you have accidentally clicked “work offline”
This will stop your webpage getting the latest update. Although I am
surprised if all your other sites are working as intended. To check if you are working offline, click file, and next to work
offline there will be a tick if you have activated it.It there is no tick, then it sounds like it is not updating the page
properly.
If you go to another ad say the goats for sale, do you see the ads for
them.If you can’t see there ads either, then it would be something to do
with your computer. If you can see the ads, try going back to poultry
for sale and pressing Ctrl+F5. This should force a refresh from
farmstock’s serv

She confirmed exactly same addy in browser then:

bookmark, and click properties. Make sure the “make this page
available offline” is not ticked. If it is, you can try re-synchronizing it
Start, all programs, accessories, synchronize
You should see farmstock in the list, select it, then click synchronize…otherwise I am out of ideas

infoaddict said:So if you click on this link:
http://www.farmstock.com.au/Classifieds/Poultry/Sale/index.html -
are you still missing the actual ads? Use that link above, not your
usual one. From interpreting your copy-and-paste above, you’re seeing the
listing page but all the actual ads aren’t displaying. From what I can
tell, the listing is served up from a database backend. I just had some
difficulties then in that it took a very long time to download the
listing – what happens if you just let the page sit for a bit and go
make a cuppa while it happens? You may well have been hit by an connection glitch which caused a
blank page to display once. That blank display is now sitting not in
your cache (temporary file store) but in your ISP’s cache, and
bypassing THAT one can be more of a headache sometimes. Holding
Shift and/or CTRL and/or ALT (or Apple key if you’re on a Mac)
and constantly clicking “Refresh” or pressing F5 should eventually
bypass it, but ISP caches can be a bugger sometimes.
=What’s your ISP? Maybe other people using that same connection
can go to that page and try to help that way. (Hey, it works
sometimes :) ).

have you tried ctrl+F5 as that is a forced refresh, the F5 is only a
mini refresh

happening still. Tried the F5 button several times – not working. Can I throw this laptop in my duck pond?
You need to hold down the button/s suggested (ie CTRL – bottom
right and left of your keyboard) and press the F5 button at the same
time – like you hold down “Shift” and “f” to get a capital “F”.You might poison your ducks if you give ‘em a laptop to play with :)

cackles said:Make sure you report back after trying that!
We are all very interested , now! Hope it works for you!Have you tried a diffferent computer?
If there is something you are really, really looking for at Farmstock, I
can send you a copy of the latest ads, if it still doesn’t display
properly for you… :D
big bessie said:tried that - not working. Tried another computer today and it all came up as it should - lovely to see all those chook ads again!=================
