Before reading the link, this looks much the same as using anti-psychotics to treat anxiety and PTSD. “Editing memories to make them less traumatic” is the main mode of action of anti-psychotic drugs. Through the action on dopamine.

On the other hand, treatments for anxiety and PTSD tend to work by submerging traumatic memories without altering them. Through the action of serotonin.

I’ve been wondering for about a year whether a brief dose of anti-psychotics could also help with mental problems other than psychosis, such as PTSD.
