We picked our first pineapple today. It tasted exactly as I knew it would. As sweet as. Summer pines are the only ones fit for the human palate.

It was exciting too. I’ve never grown my own pineapple before. Actually it did it’s own growing. All I did was stick the pine top in the ground and it did the rest. Sorry I’ve got another phone call.

I can’t remember. We have been back here for over a year and the tops were planted before we went away for 2 years. What! It couldn’t take 3 years could it? It must have. I know they take about 18months on the pineapple farm. Luckily we weren’t sitting around waiting for it to fruit.

Gee, that long…..

Boy just think if your starting out with a pineapple farm…….. be a gamble starting one up…even if you had another income to help out.

That long to grow and a couple of minutes to eat…..yep that’ll be right.
