Why is it, even if you are otherwise well, not dehydrated and with sufficient nutrition that tiredness or lack of sleep alone causes the eye sockets to darken and half circles to develop under the eyes?

A friend of mine was a heavy smoker and always had dark lines under his eyes, his face was like that for 25 odd years.
However when he gave up smoking the dark lines under his eyes went away.

Don’t despair, build upon it.

Paleness of the skin with fatigue, lots of blood vessels there under the skin.

I used to know the answer to this. Sorry, have forgotten.
Don’t know the mechanics of it.

But, i hear that haemorrhoid cream will alleviate it. Or ice cubes.

Cheers, doesn’t say much and at best removes the mechanism by one step. I am not convinced fatigue makes your skin paler but if it does, why does a healthy person get pale skin if they are tired?

Many years ago I saw him performing on stage. I was seated at a table in front of the stage. He was sweating profusely. When he shook his head I got splattered with his sweat.
I never went to another live concert.

I saw him in Superstar at the Palais in Melbourne. I was not in the front row.
I was impressed.

I saw him (twice) in Superstar at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre, and also in Pirates of Penzance. I was impressed with his Superstar performance, even more so with his P of P effort, which he seemed to really enjoy.

I’ve got a disc of P of P. He certainly did enjoy it. Even the second time when he was older and less agile…
