I have a chook sitting on eggs tucked in a little hide-away spot near my back door. I haven’t tried to move her yet because I figured she is relatively safe where she is for now and I can keep an eye on her, but not sure if I should leave her there until the chicks hatch. We have a big ant problem atm and I can remember one garden hatching where once the eggs had pipped the ants moved in and the hen left them.

What do you think my chances are of moving her and the eggs without her rejecting them? She is sitting very tight atm.

I’d move her in the darkness and hope for the best.

Banjo is thinking of sitting again. Not sure what to do … she has picked a spot I wouldn’t have.
