Muschee, that is a weed that Pomolo I think asked about around 12 months ago, that is why I took the photo :)

the powder puff looking guys is Barringtonia asiatica, poisonous to all fish.

nope – madang is on the mainland – rabaul is on new britain.
the flowers do look exotic on a second viewing.

Yup. A while ago, the people would have used Barringtonia asiatica to catch fish, but it explosives left over from WW2 are more effective…
