Arvo All, hope you’re all well and smiley.

I am growing red capsicums…well that’s what the label said.
Now I can’t remember when they’re supposed to turn red??
Can anyone enlighten me? Will they change colour just before they’re ready for picking?

Capsicums will turn red, yellow or what ever colour …like a tomato….takes a while and this is why they usually cost more at the shops.

Usually red is a bit sweeter….. I like using red and green for colour.

Water in some “Bloom Booster” around it. Can buy it at any of the Big stores

once they have turned red you don’t have long to pick them.
a couple of my big red ‘california wonders’ went rotten because i left them on the bush too long.
so pick them as soon as they are red.

Yes they either dry or rot after turning red.. dried capsicum is ok.. quite flavoursome but rotten capsicum .. well yuk. However.. it is a good way to get seed that works.
