I’m weeding, a new patch of garden, from a few months back. The weeds grew well because all the transplanted stuff got well-watered through the dry.
It’s the sort of job you have to get down on your knees, on all fours in fact.
I’ll have some lunch then continue with that.

nah missy sheep’s always having a nibble on them, I suspect she’s read an ancient medical book and believes (small amounts of) arsenic stimulates the immune system, invigorates, something like that. She’s a big reader.

I found my ayrshire cows were the best browsers I have had. They browsed a lot heavier than goats. I called them my bulldozers at one stage.

in richmond, we found the only thing that would clear gorse was goats.
However, once the gorse was cleared, it was then a goat paddock, because if you removed them the gorse would spring up everywhere in the paddock
i’d best go back to my weeding, tidy things up a bit. It’s a nice day out there, just a little wind, sun’s in and out behind the clouds some, but mostly doing what it does, well.

I prefer to wait for the sheep to convert it to chops… but whatever floats your boat..
I used to put a goat into pasture heavily infested with fireweed… until it looked a bit groggy.
Goats are 20X times more tolerant of the toxin than cattle.

Sheep will eat marshmallow if there is nothing else. However it has an effect on the liver and will kill them if they consume too much. Neighbour lost 9 of his sheep a while back due to marshmallow.

we had 3 sheep keep 2 paddocks clear of marshmallow weed a couple of winters ago, no problem.
We launched chemical warfare on it this year
