Monkeys can see faces in inanimate things, just like us

Have you ever seen the Virgin Mary in your grilled cheese? Or a screaming face inside a bell pepper? Seeing faces in inanimate objects is a common phenomenon. Now it seems that we’re not alone in experiencing it – monkeys do too.

Maybe the monkeys were spending more time with the unusual faces looking for emotions?

Not at all surprised, monkeys like apes would have had to be able to figure out that individual shapes disrupted by leaves when joined reveal a hiding predator.
