No I didn’t Pepe. I think the bird netting protected them a bit, plus our temps didn’t get as high as yours.

rhubarb rhubarb.. ;)

wish I had been able to get water to my veg this year.

Price has gone way up and pressure has gone way down so town water is off the list.. rainwater would have been useful had there been any worth noting.

mmmmm… pumpkin. Might not get to ripen now though – bit late in the season. Did it come out of the compost?

little melons are forming – self sown often do well – so fingers crossed for a late frost season.

lol Horty.
I hope you get some pumpkin Orchid. I have 4 canteloup trailing through the mini orchard and its going up all the trees and spilling out onto the patio. It’s becoming mildewy tho’ so I’ll pull it all out soon as I get a chance. I have several bush pumpkins with ‘side plate’ size orange fruits almost ready :) I put them in about 6-7 weeks ago.

my watermelons (planted in december) are sprawling everywhere and have 100’s of fruits on them – but none ripe. ….so i’m pruning the growing tips – both to contain the plants within the bed and to get the plants energy into the already set fruit.

I compromised about the pumpkin today. As there is a chance they won’t ripen I thought it’s silly to let it go on forming more fruit. So I’ve cut off all the vines except the 2 with fruit already on them. Lawn mowing would be getting more difficult too!. I have a large wheelbarrow full of pumpkin vines now – nice compost!
