What’s weird is that there is a couple of dozen tonnes of Henrietta Lacks alive some 60 years after her death.

Wouldn’t Dolly the sheep be the most famous example?

Not that the cell line for Dolly was misidentified, but because no attempt was made to identify the cell line in the first place.
