Mine are the most intelligent and well educated pair in the world. They know everything. Our son is a Doctor, a landscape Gardener, a Financial Genius and for good measure he’s a Horticulturalist.

Our daughter is a Chef, a Childhood Behaviour Specialist, an Interior Decorator and a fashion expert.

At least with kids like these we never have to make a decision about our life. They give us their opinion on everything even if we don’t want it. I sometimes wonder how we managed to raise them without them being around to offer us advice.

It’s just as well that I love them dearly.

But Pomolo, they brought us up through all their childhood, remember?

Mine have incredible investigative and interrogative powers. They should be in the defence forces protecting Aus. All 5.

Eldest daughter is a definate ruler (dictator). The most populous countries could really do with her as a leader.

Middle daughter is a financier, she could solve the ecenomic crisis single handedly.

Youngest daughter is a Psychologist/Councellor/ Adviser, eg: ‘If we did it right, GS would not be a prob’, and offers the correct advice. Right.

GS wants to know where we go, who we see, when will we be back and why are we going anywhere, how much money do you have and where did you get it from ‘ sort.

Eldest son and wife are more laid back, but get upset if we don’t contact, even if we can’t because they lose phones / change phone numbers.

My kids have left home long ago.. My son started his cadetship at a pay level way beyond what I was earning while I raised him. He rose to to be head of his dept in systems and network analysis. He now lives in Norway and jets to places like Malaysia to teach them how to use new company software.. John Howard was the only reason he kept coming back to vote.. Strangely it was after he gave up on Australia to marry his Viking princess.. that John Howard was voted out of his electorate. So.., I’d call him clever.

My daughter is the head of her Federal government department and about that I’ll say not a lot.. ;) except that yeah I think she is very clever.

My kid’s the furry kind. She’s very clever when it comes to things like – getting very filthy, finding where her bones are buried, and recognising the sound of the treat-cupboard opening. Also she’s learnt to bash in her dog door when we’re at work and it’s locked from the inside.

:D :D

I think Pomolo’s point is she and Mr Pomolo raised their offspring with a mindset that encouraged them to achieve, but now they are telling Pomolo and Mr Pomolo how to do things better…

Mine do it too…Mum you’re such a ditz (but we love you) what would you do without us to organize you…yes but I raised you to learn to fend for yourselves….

Thanks but even if her name was Raelene.. she would not be getting under your skin like your Raelene apparently does ;)
She is smarter than that.

The lass I’m thinking of has no choice…she has to do what comes with her job…it’s all pro forma

I tell my children (who are nowhere near as successful as many of the offspring on this forum) that they don’t need to have amazing jobs and earn huge amounts of money for me to be proud of them: I just want them to lead useful lives…

Mind you I think those of you whose offspring have done very well in their chosen careers should pat yourselves on the back every night…

My daughter says thta if she can’t find a smart enough father soon.. she will go to IVF and select one.
