Has anyone done a correlation between SIDS incidents and cat ownership?
Yes, this is a related question. My cat tried to kill me. While I was tired and lying on my bed, the cat went out and covered itself in pollens, then came in and rested. When we were alone in the house it shook itself vigorously in front of my face and I could see a massive cloud of fibres and dots shed directly into the atmosphere. With the result that I immediately went in to hay-fever-related respiratory distress that took half an hour to pull out of. And I don’t even have significant hay fever.

I have no idea why a scientist would have a cat or a dog. Particularly one so sensitive.
