Although I’d say there are still a lot of women doing it pretty tough, in some parts of the World.

When the womens movement started many decades ago it was all about political correct wording.
Changing things like chairman to chairperson etc.
Now that has gone a full 180 degrees, now everything is gender division.

I haven’t read the links, or even what they are about but the sisterhood of old would have insisted this thread be entitled People of Today Only Think They are Doing it Tough.

In the context of the article in the link, that would actually be a perfectly reasonable insistence.

Also I’m not sure that your first statement is really true.

no, it wasn’t. i doubt being PC back in the late 1800s early 1900s was even thought of. it was about the right to vote.

that’s quite interesting

and how useful were arms before reticulated water, electricity, motorized equipment etc etc.

before prams, shops, it’s a long list, a different life.
