What time would you all like to meet?
Collie, will you be driving up in the am or doing an overnighter the night before?
If driving up we’ll have to make it around 12 – 1ish right? So shall we do a lunch gathering?
There are BBQ facilities there, but that all seems like hard work…there’s ALWAYS something vital you forget when you plan to have a barbie somewhere other than home…like tongs…or oil! So I’ll just be bringing some picnic type food.

I just had to do a google maps streetview to check there’s plenty of trees for shade on Sunday….they forecast 35…. ouch

And I see lots of tree’s yey. I am always the first to hide out of the sun :/

In my younger days I was almost black… but these days I’m just a sook as soon as I start getting hot and sweaty in the sun. Hate that burning sun feeling.

There is a verge rubbish collection at the moment in the suburb where I work – if no one wants it I might pop it onto someone’s verge.. :)

The outer shell is probably rectangular. and if it was off freecycle then it was free.

What condition is it in? I have one (a triangle one unfortunately for you!) but it is missing a foot so is a bit wobbly, and my ex flatmate used a metal knife on the surface so now it’s scratched. It still does the job so if one of the others doesn’t have one at all then they can have it, but I prefer my non-stick surfaces unscratched if possible.

I ALWAYS over-cater so there will be enough for you to nibble on without having to worry about doing anything yourself. I’m doing a sort of platter so there will be all sorts of yummies to choose from. Given the forecast I’ve concentrated on fruit (of course!) – watermelon, fresh pineapple, grapes, strawbs. I’m also throwing in cheese, cherry toms, nuts, sultanas and bought my fave dip and biccies. In fact I must away to the kitchen and do some prep.

Really hope you wake up revived after a nap and can make it after all.

I am coming around to this way of thinking :) However I’m still waiting to hear from the other guy involved in the accident – he said he would call last night, and still hasn’t.. we’ve just tried to call his place but got an answering machine. I won’t be able to relax at all until that is out of the way =/

Weeelllll…this over-catering issue I have…I have two platters, not one! AND I was trying NOT to over-cater. There’s one platter of just the fruit, and then the other with everything else. BTW, would sundried tomato and feta stuffed vine leaves twist your arm? I knew I’d forgotten to mention something before!

hehe – it’s very hard to twist my arm with food, with the state my stomach is in :) But I would like to catch up with you all and give you those plants before they cark it!!

Looks like it’s going to be a lovely day for us after all. I’m so glad it looks like it may not even make it out of the 20’s. I never count on the BOM getting it right, LOL!

I dunno, I usually trust BOM if the forecast has stayed the same over several updates. The 11:20 forecast still says 37 – they must have a reason for thinking it’s going to climb… but fingers crossed it doesn’t :)
