Looks like the christmas special is out:

http://www.bmj.com/content/359/8134

All things useful; rainfall & back pain, asking siri for pictures of sex and wine glass size through the ages. There are also some case studies for new diseases;

“A 51 year old hospital doctor has been referred to your occupational health clinic. Since a service reorganisation within his local hospital trust, he has been uttering strings of unintelligible jargon such as “paradigm shift,” “granularity,” and “solution focused” punctuated by three letter acronyms such as CCGs, STPs, and ACOs and ending discussions with “What does good look like?””

Plus, where is Et Al?

“Et Al seems to be a highly prolific author whose identity is shrouded in mystery. He or she has authored nearly 60 000 papers and is always the last person mentioned, suggesting a degree of seniority. “

It is often difficult to tell, actually. I think originally it was just one paper thrown in amongst the normal stuff. Now it is more.

It just twigged that BMJ = British Medical Journal, not what immediately came to mind.
