Caught the 9 pm but missed the midnight show.
I love the idea of a light show from the Harbour Bridge, but I could have done a much better show by actively using the smoke as a canvas for 3-D painting.
With the fireworks, I would have had a better go at making flowers.
Five-petalled (rose) and three-petalled (iris) flowers. The ideal aim would be making a spider orchid out of fireworks.

Unfotuneately they seem to have been set in their ways for forty years or more. Do something different? Sequence it to music with computers. Which by the way is all they have done.

Didn’t know. can’t say I’m too surprised though, about half of all the historical figures I’ve heard of weren’t called by the names that I know.

I tend to disagree, until two years ago they had brand new types of fireworks at every New Years Eve. The most recent was probably the concentric spheres in two different colours. Just a few years before that they introduced the buzzing spirals.

That’s what I thought (My son was in 1RAR) But the context of the post confused me.
Had a thought, fireworks could be even more spectacular for little extra cost if it was combined with soap bubbles released separately.
Especially if some of the soap bubbles contain hydrogen.
Imagine, if you will, a curtain of small soap bubbles going skywards being lit by a laser light show, before the entire curtain is ignited by fireworks.
