A few days after Bimbo burnt her hand with hot wax at home. (Was going to do her underarms)

Taken at the Royal Adelaide Hospital the other day. We were there for most of the day.

Back there again today for an 11.30 appointment this time.

Cleaning it up.

Digital cameras are great.

The burns until doctor was using his own camera, so he could take it to the head Doctor and show him…. saved dragging him down from the until to see it.

I will. Could be some scaring and maybe….maybe in the web area of her hand, by the thumb…. not as much movement. The new skin will grow back tighter. Lots of massaging when it heals to get that part going.

Very painful and oozing muck…….

scarring on the hands is not too bad. noone gets thru’ life without some injury. you’re good parents – stay strong and g’day to elf.

Good to hear Lucky and Pepe and Longy got rain too YAY!
I’m also waiting to hear whether Mr O40 is coming home today or tomorrow. If his test shows no need for a stent he’ll be home today. The scientist who does the sleep apnoea tests is sick and they’re trying to find someone else to do it. If they do he’ll be staying in another night.
Ho hum.

I must have missed this. That’s what happens when you don’t read all the chat. Poor Bimbo, and Lucky, give her a hug from me.

good thing it didn’t make it to the underarms…give me a razor for there anyday…very sensible to take it to the hospital immediately…apparently the hand injuries can be lethal if unattended…Vitamin E oil capsules as soon as she can rub something on it, Lucky…good healing stuff…poor little kid, have they prescribed something for the pain?

Awesome! Nice one bimbo :)

I burnt myself with some steam in the same spot on my hand many years ago… Only I can work out where it was now, the scar is pretty ordinary… If she packs with salt it will become raised and will look really odd… Or you can do what the local guys were doing up on the river last week and pack it with mangrove mud, so it becomes a keloid scar and very cool for ceremony celebrations!

Saw some awesome crocodile skin scarring done on some young fellas for initiation… The only problem with keloids is that they can inflict pain on the odd occasion throughout the rest of your life.

Like I said before, nice one! :)

Geepers Bimbo, I hope your more careful with boiling water for coffee! It looks very hurtie and I suppose it’s going to take a while to heal properly. All the best with it.
