it is actually a very relevant question.
People fake things. Certain brands and I’ll drop ICE here, will have notches for a screw back but a tab for a flip back. st least this brand does show an image on the back which says, in essence for those who can read. that this back actually turns rather than clip off.

That’s nauseating. She says…..after just buying out the supermarket deli of their loose chicken wings and drumsticks because they are $3.50/kg today. I have just under 5kg of dead chook in a bag under my desk. The dogs eat it raw. It will get portioned out tonight to bags with one wing and two drumsticks, or 5 wings, frozen, and then defrosted for dog meals over the next couple of weeks. Later this afternoon I’ll get six packs of Stinky Mince (all the leftovers at the butchers go through the mincer and get sold as pet mince). They sell them already frozen. One pack does two nights for the two dogs. And they eat all of it raw.

Bonnie….
On the Purina Australia website they claim this is “Real good food, for real good dogs“, which is a ridiculously un-factual statement. Truth be told it’s a diabolical food and your dogs definitely don’t deserve it whether they’re good dogs or bloody bad dogs.
We often find cheap grains used to bulk up dog foods. This maximises profit for the manufacturer but certainly has no benefit to your dogs. One of the cheapest grains is wheat, which consequentially is one of the worst grains to feed a dog. This is the main ingredient in Purina Bonnie which is appalling. It’s backed up with the non-nutritious, hard-to-digest, filthy cheap corn.
At this point I could just say 1 star, don’t buy.

The only dry dog food Cobbett likes is Purina Lucky dog minced beef and veg. It is for small dogs. He is a medium sized dog. Every second day he gets on of those little trays of food suitable for tiny tiny dogs. He takes the tray outside and eats it in secret. Once a week he gets a can of dogfood. He likes Pal chicken loaf and some other brand of chicken and duck. He gets leftovers. most meals are small.
He gets lots of goodos or liver treats or kangaroo treats. The treat bag sits behind my laptop. He chases his tail and rolls over and begs and jumps and flips treats off his nose.

Must have diabolical dogs here then. We’ve been feeding it to our Boxers (and Hei Long) for over 30 years. And they have all been very healthy animals. You are right that it’s high calorie….it’s a working dog food. It’s for very active dogs.

Dashcam captures terrifying moment car crashes into floodwaters, floats away
The terrifying moment a car crashes into a flooded Queensland road and washes away has been captured on dashcam.
Sydney man Adrian Hastwell-Batten was driving through rain-drenched Sharon, just outside Bundaberg on the Fraser Coast last week, when he came over a ridge and face-to-face with a road flooded by a rising river.
He slammed the brakes, but it was too late to stop his car from ploughing into the waters.
“I’ve just f***ing crashed into a river dude. F***,” he can be heard saying to someone on the phone.
“My car is just f***ing gone, dude. I’m in a river, I’m f***ed, I’m f***ed.”
Mr Hastwell-Batten’s car was swept off the road and came to rest against a tree.
He climbed out the window and was left stranded on the roof for about an hour before being rescued by a swift water rescue team.

So while Europeans as far south as Italy are busy shovelling tonnes of snow, the Arctic is crazy warm — a whopping 35 degrees hotter than the annual average.
Yeah, let that sink in.
And as we all know, that makes it harder for polar bears and penguins to hunt, travel across the ice and find a safe place to breed. So, they die out. Now this is what could just be a freak event or we could be one step closer to an Arctic disaster.

Is that the guy who drove into a flooded creek?
It’s hard to tell how fast he was going, given that those dashcams tend to make it look like you’re going faster than you are, but he did seem to take a long time to stop.

Interesting. I’ve just watched the first episode of Children of the Stones; in one scene, set in a schoolroom, the teacher presents a problem in quantum mechanics at about 3rd year university level, and the (~13 year old) children solve it. I checked: the problem’s contrived, but real, and the solution is correct. The subject is not named.
Sibeen, have you used UltraLibrarian? It supposedly gives access to “millions” of electronic components for use in a variety of CAD/EDA software. I’ve just tried it, and it’s utter crap. Extremely poor graphical interface, incredibly slow (up to 3 minutes to open a single component), and generally badly written.

Extremely poor graphical interface, incredibly slow (up to 3 minutes to open a single component), and generally badly written.
Never heard of it.
I generally do drawings of building infrastructure and if doing a design it will be generally of a switchboard. I use autocad, and as I really don’t use that many symbols I have built up my own library over the years, and if a new symbol is required I just modify an existing.
I tried autocad electrical about 10 years ago and it was absolutely shite. I have seen the latest version of that, and with a quick 10 minute play it didn’t seem too bad. I won’t be changing though, way to old for that shit :)
‘nings all.
Beautiful Autumnal weather today. Just knocked over an enormous breakfast of toast, wilted spinach, mushrooms, bacon, chorizo, and poached eggs with Hollandaise. This is much more than I would usually eat, but I knocked over the Arduous Pack Test (20kg/4.8km/45m) and then walked home last night. Staggering.
I think today should be renamed Invasion Day; it’s the day that corresponds to the orders soldiers get when they’re about to invade: March forth!
David Ogden Stiers, a prolific actor best known for playing a surgeon on the MASH television series, has died. He was 75.

Late start today. Slept in (thankfully) after a big training walk yesterday.

I see Daniel Andrews (Vic Premier) is taking steps to sew up the loophole that allows churches to claim they’re an ‘unincorporated association’, which means they’re not a ‘real person’ for legal purposes (and thus cannot be sued) – Opening the floodgates for civil damages claims. Nice.

He’ll burn in hell for that, suing churches makes baby Jesus cry

LOL.
Threatening Atheists with Hell is a lot like threatening grown-ups with Santa Clause.
