The speed of such a mite, relative to the body, will be about 0.2 metres per second.
Other parts of their bodies move faster so perhaps some other bodily critter on their hands or legs wins the race instead.

I did consider nematodes as an alternative to Demodex folliculitis but the chance of an astronaut having one in his bloodstream or muscles is too small. I didn’t even find any single-celled animal that had a better claim to fame.

Counting teeth seems to be a common hobby, looking on the web I can see that people have counted the teeth of snails and armadillos for instance.
