These pears are huge- still a couple on the tree,I’ve had 4 in a bag with a ripe apple for a week but still rock hard.
The figs have vastly improved on last years crop of 3 !

talking about harvests. dug up my King Edward spuds this afternoon. Not much of a harvest but that reflects how much rain we’ve been having because I was not giving it extra water. Managed to damage half of them too with the spade :(

anyway, I thought I would show you what happens if you let couch invade your spud patch…

Wow BG, couch is a real pain, but it’s outdone itself there! I have found it growing in my rose pots that have been sunk in the ground. It’s found the drainage holes and surfaced at the top. Bluddy stuff.

my fig tree(?) is only 3 years old and has small fruit that the ants are competing for. your trees must be fairly old and large i’m guessing?

Hi Pepper,
I don’t know how old it is, but the previous owner said it was self-seeded, and it’s got to be 5yrs+ I’d say. It’s not very big.
