Are they any car map apps that can deal with roads that are cut off by showing an alternative way?

Say you plan a trip on the road app that has a train line, the boom gates fail and are down, you drive to the next rail crossing only to find that the boom gates there are down as well and have have blocked passage.

Along the rail line are tunnels, under passages, bridges over passes etc, can a map app show a alt route using those?

If any, which app?

The wait until the train passes app?

All boom gates along the line have failed.

Tell the map app multiple boom gate failure and then indicators pop up at all tunnels and bridges showing alt ways.

Yes. I’ve never used it because I don’t google and drive, but it ought to help. In addition, google maps is very much more accurate than GPS maps which frequently show a nonexistent street as a through road.

A big thumbs up for google ap. I had a meeting over the other side of the city two days ago. It correctly showed that the trip through the city tunnel and on to the Monash was going to be a nightmare. That didn’t impress me much as I could have told anyone that without using an ap. It did impress me when it showed that I was going to be held up for a few minutes in a 100 metre stretch of road as I was coming into an industrial estate are. Minor roadwords. The computing power involved is mind boggling.
