This thread is about the wretched!

If your religious, stop reading, this thread may be offensive.

Someone who understands political science would see that religious politicians are a threat to people.

Why, because religious ideology bends and skews reality, thus making religious politicians into poor lawmakers because of bad observation, poor logic, poor ethics and lack of correct information.

To create Law while this goes on in their heads.

1 To believe in something that has never been proved.
2 To believe something fictitious with made up worlds and spaces, heaven, hell, purgatory, angles etc.
3 Having something replace reality puts people in a false world, this blurs their sense of reality and alters their perceptions of the world.
4 Preaching something exists when there is no prove is deception, people have been deceived and they don’t even know it.
5 Having reality and creation wrapped up in biblical scenes as God creating the universe when their is no evidence of that.
6 Why are religious politicians dismissing validated scientific evidence, climate change, same sex genetics, etc
7 Why are religious politicians abusing human rights.
7 Why do most religious politicians have poor observation.
6 Why are religious politicians unable to easily dismiss false worlds.
7 Dismissing scientific evidence effects humanity with negativity consequences and religious politicians do this all the time, why.
8 Believing in two thousand year old ideology that never changes while the rest of the world does.
9 Religions continual battle with science, human rights and law.
10 Many other examples.

How does false worlds and false information effect decision making regarding lawmaking?

Is dismissing validated scientific evidence reckless and criminal? Answer, It is.

So these religious politicians are the wretched.

Religious politicians have abused human rights because of their religion.

I say to religious politicians, your lawmaking is terrible, you are the wretched, leave politics.

You can’t escape Satan if he wants you, except maybe pray to Jesus for salvation.

I think God, Jesus, Satan and the rest are a model based on hegemony and privilege etc.

Seriously outdated and unnecessary in my view.

We live in the universe, and that’s what I believe in.

Not what some other monkey tries to tell me.

Actually, you don’t have to believe any of that.

As Patti Smith put it: my sins are my own, they belong to me.

I think that you are slightly missing the point, and perhaps in more ways than one.

1. You can’t talk about religion in politics without including theocracy. A theocracy is a government ruled by priests.

Theocracies include the Vatican City and Iran. Other countries with a very high theocracy content include Afghanistan, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Pakistan and Nigeria. Some, but not all, of these have been abysmally bad governments.

2. Stalin’s atheist religion was awful. Approximately 142 million deaths under Stalin. Perhaps more deaths than due to all religious politicians since 1900 put together.

Good points.

There was something wrong with Stalin, he didn’t like people, he killed people who disagreed with him and I think he didn’t like the idea of overpopulation either.

Seems to be the opinion of most lefty dictators, they have certainly been responsible for more human deaths than the far right, although that lot don’t like criticism either and are very good at torture and destroying the people they don’t like.

Their similarities can be more numerous than their differences.
