Opening a new tab in Firefox, the default background colour is white.

Is there anyway to change the default bank webpage colour to black.

Menu bar/view/ tab opens, scroll to “page style”, select no style.

Click the ≡ Menu Button and choose Options. Click the Content icon. Click the Colors button. Next to Background, click the swatch and pick a color.

nope

Thanks to all who replied.

Now a fire fox winge

Seems a black background is too hard for Mozilla to implement.

I have installed stylish and use a global style with a back background.

However global styles does not apply to firefox itself, ie all menus, dialogue boxes and the option page etc all have white backgrounds.

Thanks for making black text on white background hard for some readers, Mozilla fails on readability, fail , sad.

Would anyone look at a monitor set to white only all day?

Places giant 80 inch screen in Mozilla head office set to white only.

Puts on sunglasses.

Tension headache anyone?

Operating systems have an accessibility option to invert colours for the entire screen. Looks like it’s in the magnifier in Windows.

You could also install something like f.lux to change the colours. You might like the “dark room” mode:

Have a look at your monitor’s brightness adjustment too – most desktop monitors are very bright by default.
