Looking at preparing the area Wednesday morning. Getting the lawn out the bed, adding compost I have made and a bag of sheep crap.

Today Pepe is coming out to visit with some lettuce seedlings for me. I’m really excited about this. I’ll have some garden to fuss over. Elf is going to finish turning the soil for me this morning.

Jim-Bob is coming over to collect his dad as well., I think today……. Has a surprise inspection on Tuesday and needs the whipper sniper for his backyard.

Have a great day you two :) I’m rushing about here like the blue arsed fly getting things done and making up for yesterdays downtime. Washing is bursting out the laundry door, theres cooking orders to be filled , gathering more tile colour lots for the next round of mosaicing ect. Have fun :)

Almost ready for the seedlings from pepe:D

Elf has done a FAB TAB job this morning, adding anything I want to the soil and turning it over for me.

He’s so going to be buggered and sore for it though.

elf did do a good job – so lucky has now got a 2m square bed with about 50 lettuces in it. let’s hope that in two weeks they have perked up and start looking good, these were bare rooted transplants so success is not guaranteed. we also planted broad beans and peas. the soil is hygroscopic – repels water – so we soaked and hoped for the best.

i got hot cross buns and advanced tarragon roots. always great to see lucky and elf and i’m pleased to see them gardening again.

… and i’m looking forward to brekky and maybe even supper with hot cross buns.

Pepe did such a wonderful job planting out the seedlings and also he sowed broad beans and peas for me. Plus a few extra little plants for me to transplant out in a couple of days.

Your hat is here to Pepe. I thought it was you coming back to pick it up and it turned out to be our old neighbours from Whyalla. So Peter, his daughter and 2 grandkids have just left here.

Elf has gone to get something for tea.

yes – i realised i had left it there as i turned onto main north road.
ah well – its cool – bring it on your next visit.
traffic was good – only took 30 mins to get home and drivers are being very polite – thank goodness.
rosemary spuds and fresh picked salad with avocado greeted me at home – plus a sweetish semillon reisling – very nice.

I felt VERY spoilt indeed.

Tomorrow the garlic will go in and the netting over the pea & broad bean area. No-dig garden tied up and new stuff added to that area.

Good, ‘cos I don’t know, LOL!
I do know that ‘Hygrophobia’ is fear of water. I always thought the prefix ‘hydro’ referred to water. Obviously they both do.

let me say that lucky’s hot X buns are vastly superior to the bakery ones. all of lucky’s are gone whereas no one is eating the bought ones.
the bakery ones have virtually no fruit and a bit of cinnamon if yer fortunate and are doughy – chook food.

well baked L1.

Elf & I have so enjoyed Drylander and his lovely wife and new puppy “Toby” visit and they head back up north tomorrow.

I have a new phone ring from Drylander… a Indian fella telling to answer my phone:D Such a cool phone ring………LOL

Toby loves the ducks…… cats…. chooks ….. but is leaving the Elf alone (allergy to dogs) so he’s been a good puppy. Can’t say the gang and fur kids return all the love….LOL

Going to make my new “God Puppy” a couple of cute quilts for his dog basket and 1 for the back seat of the car.

Anyway couple of pics of Drylander and the headless dog on my blog.

http://luckysduckfarm.blogspot.com/2009/04/drylander-visits.html

Sure going to be quiet when they leave tomorrow.
