pepe we had a bed of it before and we lost it all, we are just rasing the soil level and putting timber around the egde like the rest of my gardens and putting in new plants.

bg, how is it safer to leave them alone if there heading for your house.
If there down the back I’ll leave them alone otherwises it’s good night Irene. Can’t risk someone being bitten, especially a toddler

more people are bitten trying to kill a snake than by leaving them alone. if they are in or near your house ring WIRES or local ranger for someone experienced to take them away.
To avoid snakes being near the house remove anything that might attract them. Keep grass short, move sources of food or water or shelter to somewhere further away from the house.

its good about it, we see a few snakes every now and then, but we dont go looking for them.
:( I had to shovel a Papuan Black Snake the other day…. they come into my garden because it is nice and green and cool and nice for them to hang out, the surrounding area is wild dry scrub…
When the PBS show up, they don’t tend to leave and they are as venomous as a Taipan. I usually escort them off, but this one was not interested in leaving…
took it for a walk down the back paddock and went through the gate and put it in the bushes.
