Plasma doesn’t quite have the same relevence on Earth as solid liquid and gas because it never exists here in a pure state.

The four states of matter have an extremely ancient lineage. The ancients recognising that not just fire and the Sun are made of plasme but also meteor trails.

Some ancients also thought that solid is denser than liquid, liquid is denser than gas, gas is denser than plasma.

That’s why stars shine at night.

But regardless of 4 states of matter being recognised for a very long time, I’m surprised you were told about plasma at primary school.
