I don’t understand that.
Isn’t an increasing rate of expansion generally accepted? It says it is in the article.
So why is data showing an increasing rate of expansion “getting stranger”?

From what I can make out the rate of expansion is constant though most of the observable universe , until you the most distant un observable parts of the universe.
Maybe the expansion is slowing down at the frontier of the universe’s expansion ?
When the big bang first happened the universe was small, then it started expanding.
Perhaps we seeing that behavior 7.8 billion years later in the two different measurements ?
i’m going with this universe is suspended in something, that there’s an outside. Forces.
lot of people think the universe is everything, that it magically materialized, started with something called the singularity.
I doubt the expansion is as it appears.

The universe is probably suspended in nothing. If there are outside forces, what are they, how do they exist, and how do they influence what happens in the universe.
Some people think the singularity existed in another state before the big bang, others don’t.
You doubt the expansion.
Yet tens of thousands of astronomers and physicists have observed it.
I think the expansion is real, yet not fully understood.
The singularity is real, yet not fully understood.
