Brazilian presidential and congressional elections were held on 2 October (indeed it is still Sunday evening in Brazil).

If no one gets to 50% in the Presidential election, it will go to a run off on 30 October.

It appears that it will in fact go to a runoff. Lula, of the Workers Party, has received about 48% of the vote compared to 43% for Bolsonaro.
