Can you put up a picture of the whole axe head to sort out the shape? A quick google suggests you might need to work out what sort of axe head it is before you can go much further. So size and shape should help with that. Then you might be able to go to one of the blade forums and ask.

Had to go visit my neighbour. It has been in his family all his life. They only use it to slit the pig at salami time.
