It’s just bleeding from duodenal ulcers, nothing life-threatening.

They’re doing a biopsy to determine whether these were caused by bacteria or NSAIDS.

Meanwhile he’ll be in there for a few days while they give him some powerful medicine to heal the ulcers.

And right now, to celebrate, I’m going to pour a rather large scotch.

Good news.

He’s in his mid 50s (but looks about 40) and this is his first stay in hospital since he was a toddler.

We were all worried for a while but now at ease.

With luck, it’s a helicobacter infection that’s easily cured.
