Well, had a long chat with the brother and there’s still some degree of mystery about his condition. He’s still feeling unwell with gut pains and dizziness.

He didn’t know what the x-rays were for either, and wasn’t told. But it seems as well as the ulcers he has gastric varices, which are possibly more serious.

Anyway I’ll call him again tomorrow afternoon, after the doctors have seen him, and things might be clearer. He’s expecting to be discharged on Sunday.
